Deploying AUTOMATE LITE to an AWS Account

Follow these steps to deploy AUTOMATE LITE, which displays findings only from AWS Security Hub for 24hrs


Step 1: Pre-Deployment Checklist

Before proceeding, ensure that:
✅ You are logged into the AWS account where you want to deploy AUTOMATE LITE.
✅ You have AWS Security Hub enabled in your account.
✅ If you are a partner, you have also deployed AUTOMATE or AUTOMATE+ in your AWS account to conduct a WAFR.


Step 2: Choose Deployment Method

Select the Automated deployment method:

  • Automated Deployment (Recommended) – Uses a cross-account role for a seamless setup.


Step 3: Configure Deployment

Provide the required details:

  • Deployment Name – Choose a unique name (1-32 characters, allowing letters, numbers, dashes, and spaces).

  • AWS Account ID – Enter the AWS Account ID where you are deploying AUTOMATE LITE.

  • Region – Select the AWS region for deployment.


Step 4: Deploy AUTOMATE LITE

  • Click Deploy to start the installation process.


Step 5: Review & Verification

  • After deployment, you will be redirected to the Review and Fix page.

  • Findings may take 15 minutes to appear in Security Hub.

  • If your AWS Security Hub is new, it may take up to 24 hours for findings to populate.
